HMA String Orchestras

FALL ORCHESTRA 2026

HMA String Orchestra - Meets on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:15pm beginning on Tuesday, August 4th. Students are required to audition for this orchestra. The HMA String Orchestra is open to students ages 7-17 with previous string experience. Violins, violas, cellos, and double basses are welcome. The orchestra will study late beginner through intermediate repertoire and move at a faster pace. The HMA String Orchestra will have the opportunity to record in HMA’s recording studio and will perform in the end of the semester recital. Students may also have additional performance opportunities throughout the semester. Please reach out to Raevynn via email here to schedule your audition.

HMA Prelude Orchestra - Meets on Thursdays from 5:30-6:45pm beginning on Thursday, August 6th. The HMA Prelude Orchestra is open to all students ages 7-17. No previous string experience required! Beginners are welcome in this group and repertoire is multi-level so that each student has an appropriate part that is comfortable to play, but also challenging enough to be engaging. No audition required. The HMA Prelude Orchestra will have the opportunity to record in HMA’s recording studio and will perform in the end of the semester recital.

Early Bird Special - Pay in full by Thursday, July 23rd and tuition will be $170 for HMA String Orchestra or HMA Prelude Orchestra. This includes your registration fee.

Pay in Full on your first rehearsal (Tuesday, August 4th for HMA String Orchestra; Thursday, August 6th for HMA Prelude Orchestra) and tuition is $220, which includes your registration fee.

Tuition for Fall 2026 Semester is $320. This includes the $20 registration fee (due in August) and tuition can be broken up into payments of $60 per month (due in August, September, October, November, and December). Tuition is non-refundable and missed rehearsals are not credited/prorated/refunded. All students are expected to commit to the entire semester.
